Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, praised the club's teams' performance, saying: "We were overjoyed by our handball team reaching the final of the Vice President's Cup. This is just the beginning of our competition for future championships." He added: "The handball team is developing season after season, and we have previously reached the podium by winning the Al-Jazira International Friendly Tournament Cup. We hope to repeat that success and relive those memories this season." He explained, "We are working quietly to build strong and distinguished teams that will be a force to be reckoned with in the future." Al-Khasouni also noted that "the futsal team performed brilliantly in the league, finishing third in the playoffs. We are satisfied with the team and its results because we are witnessing a developing team that is performing at a high level. The proof is that they continued their excellence in the UAE Cup, defeating Sharjah, the league champions, in the first round." He added: "We prepare the players and all our teams to demonstrate high moral character and exemplary conduct on the field, and all our teams reflect these noble values and principles." Regarding individual sports, Al-Khasouni praised the medals won by the Mleiha Club team at the Arab Championship, saying, "We aspire to even greater achievements in the future." The Mleiha Club's taekwondo team secured seven international medals (three silver and four bronze) at the third edition of the Arab Taekwondo Cup 2023. Al-Khasouni also congratulated the swimming team, which won 22 medals at the President's Cup Swimming Championship, including 10 gold medals. He concluded by expressing his hope that these outstanding results and medals from the handball, indoor sports, taekwondo, and swimming teams would serve as an inspiration to the athletes in the club's other sports.
