The players were able to climb onto the podium after achieving 5 colored medals, including 2 gold and 3 bronze, while the female players achieved 4 colored medals, including 2 gold and 2 bronze.

The tournament is one of the important tournaments in Taekwondo, which attracts club players to participate in its various competitions.

Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Board Member of Mleiha Sports Club and Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, praised this achievement, in which the club’s players continue to achieve advanced positions in light of the sporting environment that the club provides to all players with the aim of participating in championships.

He explained that the club succeeded, within the framework of its strategy that it revealed two years ago, in qualifying players in various team and individual sports, and the fruits of those plans came in achieving the silver medal in a local Taekwondo championship.

Al-Ketbi emphasized that the club, headed by Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, spares no effort in training its players through continuous training sessions in the club's halls and under the supervision of coaches, with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council for all sports in the club, with the aim of creating a base of athletes from the Mleiha region in various sports and encouraging them to participate and achieve promising and pleasing results for Sharjah sports and Emirati sports.

He pointed out that the strategy continues in order to build sports capabilities and complete their preparation for all participations within the framework of concerted efforts so that the Mleiha Club can contribute with all the clubs of the Emirate of Sharjah and the clubs of the country in achieving continuous progress and competing for the top positions in championships.
