His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, received Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, accompanied by His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al Hosan, Secretary General of the Council, during his visit to the club as part of his inspection tours of the emirate’s clubs.
The visit was attended by a number of members of the Sharjah Sports Council, namely His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Sultan, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Dah, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Yasi. On the side of the Mleiha Club, His Excellency Abdullah Salem Khusouni Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Board Member and Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, Mansour Rashid Al Ketbi, Executive Director, and Mohammed Musbeh bin Hadhibah Al Ketbi, Football Supervisor.
The visit came as part of the Sharjah Sports Council’s keenness to follow up on the progress of work and to learn about the reality of the clubs and their needs. The Council Chairman conducted a field tour inside the club’s facilities, during which he reviewed the executive programs and work plans, in addition to discussing the challenges and ways to develop institutional and sports performance.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council praised the outstanding level presented by the Mleiha Club, appreciating the remarkable results achieved by the club in various sports, especially handball, swimming and modern pentathlon, and what this reflects of a professional work system and continuous efforts in achieving accomplishments.
His Highness also affirmed his full support for the investment projects in the Mleiha Club, praising the club’s direction towards enhancing financial sustainability and diversifying sources of income, which contributes to supporting the progress of sports development and raising the efficiency of the infrastructure.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi expressed his thanks and appreciation for this visit, stressing that the support and continuous interest of the Sharjah Sports Council represent a great incentive to continue achieving successes and enhancing the club’s position at various levels.
