Participants in the summer program at the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club explored the movement of planets within the cosmic galaxy through a virtual tour organized in collaboration with the Sharjah Center for Astronomy and Space Sciences. The tour aimed to deepen their knowledge, allow them to explore the world of astronomy and space up close, and introduce them to the latest developments in this vast cosmic field. During the visit, students and their families listened to detailed explanations of various models, their concepts, and how they work. They also viewed models of spacecraft and the International Space Station, the world's largest observation station for space and astronomical phenomena. The virtual journey took them through the entire solar system, observing the solar and stellar corona, the speed of light, theories of light analysis, the search for exoplanets, infrared radiation measurements, and other astronomical phenomena. Participants also experienced a simulated journey to the moon and learned how ancient peoples envisioned the universe, galaxies, and life within it. They were able to view the planetarium's wall, which houses a wealth of cosmic, astronomical, and space-related information and facts, and listened to numerous explanations of these facts and their details. In the same context, during the virtual journey, the participants received a detailed explanation about the workings of the cosmic galaxy and its benefits through a virtual journey via a spaceship that launched from outside the Earth to reach the planet Saturn and then to the edge of the universe in an explanation that included a lot of valuable scientific information about the sizes and distributions of stars and planets in space.
