Mleiha Sports Club shone at the Arab Taekwondo Championship, with its outstanding players, Salma Rashid Al Ketbi and Sarah Rashid Al Ketbi, winning bronze medals in their first international appearance as part of the UAE national taekwondo team. Champion Salma Rashid Al Ketbi secured the bronze medal in the women's category, adding to the club's achievements and to women's sports in the UAE in general, and specifically in the Mleiha region of Sharjah. This was also Salma's first international competition, where she showcased her skills and determination to succeed. Her sister, champion Sarah Rashid Al Ketbi, also won a bronze medal in the junior women's category, continuing Mleiha Club's sporting achievements. This was Sarah's first international experience, during which she demonstrated her potential and readiness to compete at the regional and international levels. This success reflects Mleiha Sports Club's role in training and developing female athletes, with a strong focus on supporting and empowering women in various sports. Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, a member of the Mleiha Sports Club's board of directors and head of the Individual Games Committee, commented on the outstanding performance of champions Salma Rashid Al Ketbi and Sarah Rashid Al Ketbi at the Arab Taekwondo Championship: "We are proud of our champions' bronze medal wins in their first international competition.
