The Maliha Taekwondo Club team won 8 colored medals in the UAE Open Poomsa Championship

The teams of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club continued to achieve many sporting achievements, and the club’s male and female players from the Taekwondo team achieved remarkable success at the end of 2022 AD by winning 8 colored medals at the conclusion of the UAE Open Poomsae Championship.
The club's players climbed onto the podium after a great competition witnessed by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, the host of the tournament's events, to win medals, in addition to the players winning the third place cup in the overall ranking of the tournament for girls.
The eight medals were distributed between one gold, four silver and three bronze, reflecting the extent of the success that emerged through the talents of the club’s male and female players.
Hamad bin Tamim Al Ketbi, Board Member of Mleiha Sports Club and Chairman of the Individual Games Committee at the club, praised the club’s success in participating and excelling in the UAE Open Poomsae Championship 2022, which concluded on December 31 in Fujairah, amidst great competition among the participating teams, confirming that the players of Mleiha Club deserved to be honored.
Al-Ketbi affirmed that the club, under the supervision of the club’s board of directors and headed by Mohammed Sultan Khasouni Al-Ketbi, will not hesitate to support the players technically to raise their levels and enhance their participation in all platforms, especially in individual sports, in light of the interest in combat sports and the great success, to prove their ability to succeed and shine.
He pointed out that the Mleiha Club pays great attention to martial arts, and therefore has a group of male and female players who will work to enhance their abilities, participate regularly, and excel in all championships to reflect the name of Sharjah, the club, and Emirati sports in general.
