Mleiha Club unveiled a series of sporting and cultural events to be held during the holy month of Ramadan, as part of the second Mleiha Ramadan Forum, under the theme "Meeting and Connecting." This announcement was made at a press conference held at the Mleiha Club Stadium, attended by Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, Mansour Balajid Al-Ketbi, the Forum's Coordinator, as well as board members, media representatives, guests, players, and club staff. The planned events at the Mleiha Ramadan Forum include a range of sporting and cultural activities aimed at fostering communication and social cohesion within the community. These activities will be organized throughout Ramadan for the sons and daughters of the Mleiha area, as well as for institutions in the Central Region of the Emirate of Sharjah. The Forum will conclude with a ceremony honoring the winners and selecting a prominent sports figure. In his address at the conference, Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni emphasized the importance of these events in strengthening community ties and deepening relationships among members of the community. He stated, "The Club's management intends to continue its active role in organizing Ramadan events that contribute to enhancing communication and positive interaction among members of the community." The community, through organizing a diverse range of events and programs that meet the needs and aspirations of the residents of the Mleiha area during the holy month of Ramadan.” He added: “The events and tournaments of the forum enhance the role of the Mleiha Club as a vibrant platform that contributes to achieving the desired goals and objectives under the umbrella of the Sharjah Sports Council, through organizing a diverse range of events and programs that meet the needs and aspirations of the area’s residents.” The forum coordinator, Mansour Balajid Al-Ketbi, emphasized the importance of these events in strengthening affiliation with the club and reinforcing its identity as an important sports and social center, noting that they contribute to promoting sportsmanship and solidarity among individuals. The forum includes numerous sports and cultural activities, such as football, volleyball, and swimming tournaments, in addition to laser shooting competitions and cultural and religious activities, including Quran recitation and chanting competitions for boys and girls, as well as organizing women’s events specifically for them during Ramadan nights, which include diverse sports and cultural programs. At the conclusion of the press conference, the club’s management thanked its partners in success, including the Sharjah Foundation for the Holy Quran and Sunnah and the Sharjah Institute. The Heritage, Mleiha Municipality, Sharjah Police General Command, Department of Islamic Affairs, Holy Quran Complex and Arabic Language Complex in Sharjah, stressing the importance of strengthening communication and cohesion in society, and noting that the club is ready to provide a unique and fruitful experience for participants in the Mleiha Ramadan Forum events.
