Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, president of the Mleiha Club, expressed his happiness at his team's victory over Al-Bataeh in the Central Region derby, saying: “We faced Al-Bataeh, a team with a long history in the game, and we respect and appreciate Al-Ahmar. Our respect for Al-Bataeh in the last match gave us the advantage and superiority. In the end, it is just a match, and we are building the team and we aspire to the best.”
He thanked the club’s family in general, the sports committee, and the team’s managers Faisal Al Hammadi and Bader Al Mazmi. He also praised the Egyptian coach Khaled Mahmoud, who is doing a great job with the team.
Khorfakkan team manager Haitham Eid Al Hammadi commented on the 6-0 victory over Ittihad Kalba, saying: “This is the Khorfakkan team we know. We respect all teams, but we are not afraid to face anyone. The only thing we fear is our own team if it is not at its best. Khorfakkan players delivered an outstanding performance in every aspect, and circumstances necessitated bringing in some substitutes, who proved their worth in the match. Our motto for the upcoming matches is ‘Every match is a championship,’ because the slightest mistake will remove the team from the title race. All our focus is on keeping the team in the thick of the league championship competition until the very last second, and our confidence in our players and coaching staff is immense and knows no bounds.”
