The players won 5 bronze medals and one silver medal as part of the strong participation and competitions witnessed in the tournament amidst the current participation of clubs.
Mohammed Awad Al-Ketbi, Board Member of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club and Head of the Media and Digital Transformation Committee, praised the results of the club’s female players and the medals they won, which reflected the levels of training, as well as the aspiration to raise the club’s name in this international tournament, which bears the name of the tenth Fujairah International Championship, in light of the abundant harvest of 6 medals that highlighted their ability to excel in the field of self-defense games.
Al-Katbi stated that during the tournament held in Fujairah, the players demonstrated great levels and high skills that were praised by everyone, given their ability to continue to present outstanding performances in the field of self-defense in the sport of Taekwondo. He added that this sport receives great attention from the club, and the club has distinguished players in this distinguished sport.
Al-Katbi praised the players’ performance and their high spirit of success, which was reflected positively in their performance and appeared in a distinctive way, in addition to the efforts of the Taekwondo technical staff, who work in silence and provide us with distinguished players who achieve tangible and clear accomplishments in this sport, which the board of directors of the Mleiha Club pays attention to and cares about.
He added that this success and excellence of the female players in Taekwondo did not come out of nowhere in achieving this number of medals, because it is due to the interest of the club’s board of directors, headed by Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, and the sports system, especially in the field of individual games, and the keenness to ensure the excellence of the female players, especially the daughters of the country, in this sport, which receives encouragement from the Sharjah Sports Council.
