Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club achieved a remarkable accomplishment in the Dubai International Aquatics Championship (DIAC), which was held at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai from Thursday, April 2 to Sunday, April 5, 2026, with the participation of elite clubs and specialized teams, over four days of intense competition.
The club's team managed to win 46 medals of various colors, distributed as 16 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 14 bronze medals, in a remarkable result that reflects the amount of technical work and meticulous preparation that preceded participation in the championship.
The competitions witnessed high technical levels, as the players of Mleiha succeeded in strongly asserting their presence in the various races, presenting a distinguished performance that reflects the development of the water sports system at the club, and their ability to compete and achieve positive results at the level of major championships.
This achievement comes as part of the club’s strategy aimed at supporting and developing sporting talents, and enhancing the club’s presence in competitive events, by providing a professional environment that contributes to raising the efficiency of players and achieving the best results.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, affirmed that this achievement embodies the fruit of collective work within the club, praising the great efforts made by the technical and administrative staff, and appreciating the honorable level shown by the team. He also praised the continuous support provided by the Sharjah Sports Council, which had a great impact on achieving these outstanding results, stressing that the club will continue to work to achieve more successes and achievements during the next stage.
