32 Emirati athletes from Mleiha Sports Club participated in the Global Laser Run World Modern Pentathlon Championship, which was held in cooperation between the Sharjah Sports Council and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation.
The tournament concluded with great success, with the participation of 574 male and female players of different ages and genders.
The champions of the Mleiha Club contributed strongly to this great sporting achievement, as they were able to win 8 colored medals in the tournament.
Mleiha Club won three gold medals thanks to the efforts of Mleiha Club players Mayed Harb Abdullah Al Ketbi, Abdul Rahman Saeed Al Khasouni Al Ketbi, and Diab Omar Saeed Humaidi Al Ketbi.
In addition, the players of Mleiha Club shone by winning three silver medals through a brilliant performance by Hamid Saeed Al-Khasouni Al-Ketbi, Awad Hareb Abdullah Al-Ketbi, and Abdullah Sultan Abdullah Muhair Al-Ketbi.
The successes did not stop there, as the team also won two bronze medals, which were won by Ahmed Abdullah Awad Al-Ketbi and Abdullah Issa Al-Ali.
Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Sports Club, expressed his pride and happiness at this great achievement for the club's members.
He also stressed that the club has always been keen to encourage its Emirati players to participate in international sporting events and achieve successes in the name of the UAE.
Al-Khasouni pointed out that this sporting achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of the members of the board of directors of the Mleiha Club and the administrative and technical staff to enhance the club’s status as one of the distinguished sports clubs that are concerned with qualifying local players.
