This morning, at the headquarters of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, the official press conference for the Mleiha Ramadan Forum 2026 was held, in the presence of representatives of participating institutions, media professionals and members of the organizing committee, to announce the details of the fourth edition of the forum and its religious, cultural, sports and community programs.
The conference began with a speech by Mr. Salem bin Jarash, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, who welcomed the attendees, stressing that the forum comes as an extension of the club’s community role in serving the people and institutions of the Central Region, and reflects the club’s management’s keenness to provide an integrated Ramadan program that combines spiritual values, cultural activities and sports events, in order to strengthen community bonds during the holy month.
For his part, Abdul Rahman Muhair Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of the Media and Corporate Communication Committee, reviewed the details of the forum’s programs, explaining that the events include the Ramadan Holy Quran Competition, the Ramadan Tent in its fourth season, and the “Maliha Reads” dialogue sessions coinciding with the month of reading, in addition to a number of community initiatives and accompanying events targeting various segments of society.
On the sports side, Captain Bader Al Zarouni, the tournament director, gave an explanation of the system of the Mleiha Ramadan Football Tournament for Central Region institutions, indicating that the tournament is held with the participation of eight institutions distributed into two groups, with the first and second from each group qualifying for the semi-final round, leading up to the final match to determine the champion of the fourth edition.
He also explained that the refereeing will be done by accredited referees, with a medical team and an ambulance provided throughout the tournament, to ensure the application of the highest standards of organization and safety.
The conference concluded with the draw ceremony for the tournament and the official adoption of the match schedule, amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction among the team representatives, signaling the start of a tournament expected to reflect the spirit of cooperation and fair competition among the institutions of the Central Region during the holy month.
