Players from Mleiha Club visit the Sharjah International Book Fair
The players of Mleiha Sports Club showed remarkable participation during their visit yesterday afternoon to the Sharjah International Book Fair in its fortieth session, and their keenness to move around its premises and acquire the books they wish to read and learn about.
The visit, organized by the management of Mleiha Club for a delegation of the club’s players to the exhibition headquarters in Sharjah, comes within the framework of the cultural activity that the club’s management is keen to support by enabling the players to communicate knowledge through reading, learning and increasing the amount of information and books that deal with what occupies the players’ passion from several sciences and diverse knowledge.
The players toured a number of pavilions at the Sharjah International Book Fair, explored its various sections, and viewed the diverse books on display. They were keen to learn about the most important publications and inquire about books that concerned them, in addition to purchasing a number of books, whether sports, literary, or scientific, which would greatly benefit them.
Salem Rashid Al Ketbi, Secretary General of the Mleiha Club, indicated that the club, through the directives of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, was keen to organize a visit to the exhibition for a number of players, in light of the club’s organization of many frequent visits to the exhibition to bring the largest number of players of different ages and those affiliated with group and individual sports, as well as the club’s cultural, social and voluntary activities, with the aim of connecting them with the books on display.
Al-Ketbi explained that the players’ visit comes in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to deepen the habits of reading among the children, and to provide them with suitable books.
Al-Katbi pointed out that this visit and the opportunity for players to acquire books fulfills the goals of the exhibition and its noble message of making book oases oases of light, so it was necessary to develop and improve them.
