The Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club archery team concluded its distinguished participation in the Sharjah Sports Council Championship, achieving a remarkable accomplishment by winning the first place cup after collecting 7 medals of various kinds, including 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and one bronze medal.
The junior team in the compound bow category was crowned with first place and the gold medal, through players Abdulrahman Al-Mannai, Khalid Al-Zaabi and Ghaith Al-Dosari, in a distinguished performance that reflected the level of development witnessed by the club’s players in the game.
At the individual level, player Khalid Al-Zaabi achieved first place and the gold medal in the compound bow category for the junior stage, while player Ghaith Ali Al-Dosari came in second place and the silver medal in the same category.
Ali Al-Manaei also won the silver medal in the junior category, while Omar Abdul-Basit won the bronze medal in the individual competitions within the same category.
With these outstanding results, the Mleiha Club’s total medal haul in the championship reached 7 medals of various types, in addition to the first place cup, confirming the club’s strong presence in archery competitions at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah.
For his part, Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Board Member of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club and Head of the Individual Games Committee, affirmed that this achievement reflects the great efforts made by the club in developing individual games and honing promising talents, praising the outstanding level presented by the players during the tournament competitions.
Al-Katbi pointed out that these results are the fruit of the continuous support and follow-up from the club’s board of directors, in addition to the technical and training work that contributes to preparing the players to compete and achieve accomplishments, stressing that the club continues to support sports talents and represent Mleiha in an honorable manner in various tournaments.
