The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation and Mleiha Club announced the inclusion of the sport in the club's activities, making it the first club in the country to take this step. This announcement came at the conclusion of a visit by a delegation from the Modern Pentathlon Federation to the club, headed by Dr. Huda Al Matroushi, Chairperson of the Federation's Board of Directors. The delegation also included Federation Board members Khalid Al Naqbi and Thani Majid Sultan, as well as technical staff and specialists from the Federation. They were received by Mohammed Sultan Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, Hamad Tamim Al Ketbi, Board Member and Head of the Individual Sports Committee, and Bader Abdullah Al Mazmi, Supervisor of the age-group categories for team and individual sports. During the visit, a coordination meeting was held between the two parties. Khalid Al Naqbi, a member of the Federation's Board of Directors, provided a brief explanation of modern pentathlon, its importance for young men and women, and its five disciplines: swimming, running, shooting, fencing, and equestrian. The meeting concluded with an agreement to begin the implementation phase of the sport at the club.
