Maliha continued its victories in the Handball League, defeating Al Wasl 33-28 in the match held at the “Emperor” Hall, as part of the second week of the competition. The first half ended with Maliha leading 18-15, earning the “perfect score” in the first two rounds of the league, after winning in the previous round against Al Nasr 31-29, to top the league standings. Maliha is showcasing a high level of performance in the men's category, having reached the finals of both the Federation Cup and the UAE Cup. Despite losing to Sharjah on both occasions, Maliha's level and results are significantly different from previous seasons. Notably, they have defeated most of the other clubs, including Sharjah in the first round of the UAE Cup. The team is led by Egyptian coach Walid Abdel-Kafi, who possesses extensive experience in the sport. He took charge of Maliha at the start of the 2019 season and previously coached Sharjah, leading them to several championships. The team also boasts a distinguished group of players, particularly the foreign players Omar Fouly and Ahmed Qassem, both of whom have represented the Egyptian national team, alongside a number of Emirati players. The club's management, headed by Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, and the board members stand firmly behind the team, providing moral support and attending matches. After each game, Al-Khasouni meets with the coaching staff, management, and players to motivate them to continue their pursuit of another victory on the handball court.
