The competitions of the Mleiha Ramadan Club Championship for Central Region Institutions 2026, organized by the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club as part of the Mleiha Ramadan Forum activities, continue amidst an enthusiastic sporting atmosphere and a remarkable public presence that reflects the importance of the championship in strengthening community ties between Central Region institutions during the holy month.
The tournament kicked off on Friday, February 20, 2026 with two strong matches, as the Municipality of Mleiha triumphed over the Alwan Foundation in the opening of the competitions, while the Municipality of Al-Bataeh succeeded in overcoming the LMBC Foundation team after a match that was characterized by excitement and competitiveness until the last moments.
On the second day, Saturday 21/02/2026, the Civil Defense team continued its strong presence and outperformed Al Madam Municipality, while the Mleiha Youth team presented a remarkable offensive performance that enabled it to outperform Mleiha Club in a match that witnessed clear dominance throughout its course.
On the third day, Sunday 22/02/2026, the Municipality of Mleiha continued its positive results and once again outperformed the Mleiha Club, while the Civil Defense strengthened its position at the top of its group after outperforming the Municipality of Al-Bataeh in a strong match that reflected the high level of competition.
The first three rounds resulted in the Municipality of Mleiha topping the standings of the first group, followed by the Mleiha Youth, while the Mleiha Club and Alwan Foundation came in the remaining positions, while the Civil Defense topped the standings of the second group, followed by the Municipality of Al Bataeh, then the LMBC Foundation (Pearl of Al Madam), and finally the Municipality of Al Madam, leaving the competition open before the decisive rounds.
The tournament is scheduled to resume tomorrow, Friday, February 27, 2026, with Alwan Foundation facing Nashaa Mleiha, and the second match pitting LMBC Foundation (Pearl of Al Madam) against Al Madam Municipality. Matches continue on Saturday with Mleiha Municipality playing Nashaa Mleiha, and Al Bataeh Municipality facing Al Madam Municipality. The group stage concludes on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with Alwan Foundation taking on Mleiha Club, and LMBC Foundation facing Civil Defense in a highly anticipated match to determine which teams advance to the next round.
For his part, Salem Khalfan bin Jarash, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Mleiha Ramadan Tournament, praised the outstanding level of skill and discipline demonstrated by the teams since the tournament's inception. He emphasized that the competitions reflect the sportsmanship and community values ​​that the tournament strives to instill annually. He also commended the significant efforts of the staff, organizing committees, and volunteers, praising their role in the preparation, organization, and daily follow-up. This, he noted, contributed to the tournament's success and reflected the prestigious standing of the Mleiha Club and its leading role in organizing sporting and community events.
