Mleiha Sports Club has received the World Federation of the Disabled’s certificate for environmentally accessible facilities for people with disabilities, becoming the first sports club in the country to receive this certificate after all its facilities were made accessible to people with disabilities.

Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club has received the World Federation of the Disabled’s certificate for environmentally accessible facilities for people with disabilities, becoming the first sports club in the country to receive this certificate after all its facilities were made accessible to people with disabilities.
Under this certificate, the club guarantees that people with disabilities can easily benefit from all the club's services, access sports venues, interact with management, join all activities, and use the club smoothly.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Vice President of the World Federation of the Disabled, honored the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club with the World Federation of the Disabled’s certificate for environmentally suitable places for people with disabilities, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club, Nasser Al-Mahrazi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Club and Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, and Dr. Ahmed Fouad Al-Baqari.
His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni expressed the pride of the club and the club’s family in this certificate, which is the result of continuous work that the club has sought with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council to be the first club prepared for the disabled.
Al-Khasouni expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support for sports, athletes, and all sports clubs, so that they may always be closer to the community in all its segments, especially the disabled.
Al-Khasouni praised the activities undertaken by the World Federation of the Disabled to spread the culture of the disabled and their standards, extending greetings to the Federation and to His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem and his associates for their efforts in laying the foundations that the club has been working to fulfill in order to obtain this certificate.
In turn, His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem congratulated the Mleiha Sports Club on this achievement of obtaining this certificate in accordance with its fulfillment of the requirements of the World Federation of the Disabled.
He explained that the work carried out by the Union is in line with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah (the supporter of the disabled), to make the Emirate of Sharjah a disability-friendly emirate.
