In conjunction with its summer program, the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, as part of its "Our Vacation is Different" initiative, organized a workshop of great importance to its summer club members, including players, visitors, children, and youth of various ages. The workshop, which focused on "Sustainable Sports and Personal Development," was held yesterday evening at the club's headquarters. Attendees included Mohammed Sultan Al-Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mleiha Club, along with several stakeholders, club staff, players, and summer program participants. The workshop was presented by Dr. Saeed Balith Al-Tunaiji, a prominent Emirati lecturer in the fields of self-development and personal growth programs. Dr. Al-Tunaiji addressed several valuable topics that reinforced the concept of sustainability among the participants, highlighting its importance in relation to sports and the athlete's need for personal development in all areas. He emphasized the importance of sustainable sports as a key aspect of sustainability and its role in promoting its goals, which aim to raise awareness among young people about societal values such as coexistence, tolerance, dialogue, development, and respect for others, in addition to instilling a range of important concepts. The awareness messages focused on practicing sports and fitness, loving others, avoiding diseases, maintaining public health, and its role in proper upbringing, in addition to connecting with the concept of sports as a lifestyle and self-development. Al-Tunaiji touched on the role of sports and its sustainability on the personality of the athlete and player, in order to protect against phenomena alien to society, and to make sports a healthy lifestyle, a tool to fill students' free time, competition and building a positive personality in the family and society, and its role in developing opportunities for excellence, acquiring knowledge and success to represent the country in all forums.
