Yesterday, the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club organized a ceremony to honor the athletes who achieved sporting accomplishments during the 2024/2025 season, in celebration of the honorable results achieved by the club’s players during their participation in various tournaments. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, the members of the Board of Directors, the executive management, and with the participation of the players and their parents.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdul Rahman Muhair Al Ketbi, Mr. Rashid Mohammed Al Ketbi, and Mr. Mohammed Awad Al Ketbi, members of the Board of Directors, in addition to Mr. Mansour Rashid Al Ketbi, the club’s Executive Director, in confirmation of the Board of Directors’ keenness to support and motivate the players and continue the journey of sporting excellence.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran presented by the player Salem Tamim Salem Al-Ketbi. Then the club’s speech was delivered, which confirmed that this honoring comes in appreciation of an honorable elite of the club’s sons who embodied the values of excellence, discipline and determination, and raised the name of Mleiha Club and the nation high during the 2024/2025 sports season.
In a statement, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, expressed his pride and appreciation for the achievements made by the club’s players during the sports season, stressing that what was achieved embodies the fruit of the continuous support given by the wise leadership to sports and athletes, foremost among them His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Union and Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect and preserve him, and his great role in enabling clubs to achieve achievements.
The Chairman of the Board also appreciated the continued support of the Sharjah Sports Council, headed by Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and its effective efforts in developing the sports movement and nurturing talents, while at the same time praising the efforts of the club’s Board of Directors, the technical and administrative staff, and everyone who contributed to creating a supportive environment for the players.
The Chairman of the Board pointed out that the honored players of the Mleiha Club represent an honorable example for the youth of the nation, stressing that this honoring comes as an incentive for them to continue giving and achieving more accomplishments in the upcoming events.
The ceremony included honoring the players who achieved success, after the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club succeeded in winning 346 medals of various colors during the 2024/2025 sports season, including 93 gold medals, 121 silver medals, and 132 bronze medals, in various local and international championships.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo that brought together the technical staff and players, in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the spirit of pride and honor in the achievements that have been added to the record of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club.
