The players of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club achieved outstanding results in the Elite Citizens Championship, which was successfully held at Sharjah Individual Sports Club over the past two days. The players, both male and female, won a total of 14 medals, achieving remarkable accomplishments and excelling in various categories. These achievements demonstrate the strength and brilliance of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club and reinforce its position as one of the leading sports clubs in developing Emirati talent. The women's team secured third place, with the medals distributed as follows: 6 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. Specifically, Hamad Hamed Abdullah won the bronze medal, while Sarah Rashid Al Ketbi earned multiple gold medals, in addition to Asayel Rashid Al Ketbi, Hessa Rashid Al Ketbi, Majida Rashid Al Ketbi, and Sheikha Rashid Al Ketbi. Mariam Ismail Rashid earned a silver medal. As for Aisha Abdullah Ali and Reem Abdullah Ali, they won bronze medals. Hamad bin Tamim Al Ketbi, a member of the board of directors of Mleiha Sports Club and head of the individual games committee, commented on this success, saying: “These sporting achievements of the club’s female Emirati players reflect the dedication and motivation they receive, and are a result of hard training and good preparation.” He continued: “We are proud of all the players who embodied the team spirit and demonstrated their skills with creativity and excellence in this championship.”
